NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It will stay stormy into Thursday. Rain and a few storms will remain likely and some of them will produce some heavy downpours.
There could be some isolated street flooding in spots. A cold front will stall and washout over the area on Friday and Saturday. Some showers can still be expected but widespread heavy rain is not anticipated.
By the weekend a moderate to strong easterly wind will take over as drier air also moves into the region. A few brief showers on the breeze are possible otherwise it looks mostly dry beginning Sunday into early next week.
