HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Nick Saltaformaggio returns to the sidelines this Friday night after serving a four game suspension for recruiting violations. Hahnville has struggled without Coach Salt, and the schedule continues to get tougher, with a visit to Terrebonne next up.
“Just watching our football team go through what its' gone through, the 1-3 start. I know we’ve played three really good football teams. We felt like we had chances to win them. There’s been those disconnects that you have when you have when the start of the season that we had. : We got six left to play. You got to win six to get in, seven to get a home one the first week. Right now we have one. We have six left to play. We got an undefeated Terrebonne team this week, who’s got a lot of skilled kids,” said Hahnville Head Coach Nick Saltaformaggio.
Ja’Khi Douglas, Keshawn James, Chaz Ward. The Terrebonne Tiger backfield is extremely dangerous, and can rack up a ton of points quickly.
“Well so far we’ve played a lot of teams in our local area. We’re all pretty good friends as coaches. To hear them after the game, or a couple of weeks before the game. Where are you going to play so-and-so this week? What it boils down to is execution. Our kids do a really good job of remembering what they have to do when they’re in a certain position on the field,” said Terrebonne Head Coach Gary Hill.
Terrebonne is undefeated on the season, but not getting the respect statewide. They’re actually outside the top ten at No. 11.
“Each game, each week is different. We’re going to have a different opponent, a different front, different scheme. Main point to them is we got to continue to prove ourselves. Your only remembered for your last game,” said Hill.
“We feel confident we can come out and get the “W.” I know they’re a hungry team, they’ve been on a little losing streak. We’re a hungry team. It’s going to be a nice game,” said Terrebonne running back Chaz Ward.
