NOPD searching for vehicle-of-interest in Algiers double shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -The New Orleans Police Department is searching to locate a car in connection with a shooting in Algiers earlier this week.

The shooting happened Monday near the intersection of General Meyer Avenue and Flanders Street.

NOPD is looking for the vehicle and its occupants in connection with the case.

At about 11:30 a.m., NOPD Fourth District officers responded to the area for a reported shooting.

In review of surveillance video, detectives discovered the vehicle pictured above pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle, and gunshots were fired from the silver vehicle at the victim’s vehicle, according to the report.

The vehicle is described as a gray or silver Acura with dark tinted windows and an unknown license plate.
