NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - St. Paul’s made clear Friday that any struggles they had to start the season have only made them stronger as they improved to 4-0 in District 6-5A with a 72-7 win over Ponchatoula.
The Wolves' fourth straight win was sparked by senior quarterback Jack Mashburn who had nearly 400 total yards of offense and five touchdowns. St. Paul’s also got rushing touchdowns from Micah Crockett, Mitchell Smith and Caleb Frost, who relieved Mashburn in the fourth quarter. Frost also threw a touchdown to Daniel Sears. Nick Stanton and Will Robinson were on the receiving end of Mashburn’s passing scores.
Kenny Sears' team will look to stay perfect in district play against Slidell, who is also 4-0 in district play. Ponchatoula will look to rebound against Fontainebleau.
