Warmer, more humid air is back, especially south of Lake Pontchartrain. The chance of rain is back as well, with the best chances south and east of the Lake. A cold front will try to push into the area today, but may not make it all the way through until Wednesday. This could allow for northern parts of the area to see cooler, drier air sooner than Wednesday.
Once the front pushes through, it will knock down temperatures and drop rain chances for Wednesday and Thursday.
That will be short lived as a warm front surges back into the area on Friday with humidity and a few showers. Rain and a few storms may be likely next Saturday as a stronger cold front approaches. If this holds, we could be in for a more sustained period of cooler and drier weather late in the weekend and into the following week.
