NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -The failure to renew two expiring sales taxes in St. Tammany Parish resulted in a trimmed down 2019 budget.

According to a report by our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, Parish President Pat Brister said spending for next year will be a 12 percent reduction from the current budget.

The 2019 budget puts operating costs at $99 million, and capital expenses at about $20 million.

Members could discuss the budget during the November 1 meeting.
