NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Pelicans unloaded chronically injured center Alexis Ajinca, and acquired Clippers small forward Wesley Johnson sources confirmed to Nola.com/Times-Picayune. Ajinca hasn’t played since the 2016-17 season because of injuries.

Johnson played in 74 games last season, averaging 5 points and 2 rebounds per game. Johnson is in the final season of a three-year deal.

One of Dell Demps biggest mistakes as a GM was signing Ajinca to a four-year, $20.2M deal in 2015. Injuries doomed the new deal for the next three years.
