NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Gleason family welcomed in another member Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 16), with the birth of a baby girl, according to Team Gleason associate executive director Clare Durrett.
“Everyone is happy and healthy,” Durrett said.
The baby was born around 4 p.m. and as of Tuesday night, Steve and Michel Gleason had not decided on a name.
The couple’s first child, Rivers, will turn 7 on Thursday. He was born nine months after Gleason learned of his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2011. The Gleasons confirmed they they were expecting their second child in July, after a successful in vitro fertilization procedure.
