NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -Medical marijuana may arrive later than expected for patients in Louisiana.
According to our partners NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, the state’s first legal crop is being harvested this week and could be ready to ship next month.
However, the crop has to be tested by an independent, third-party lab.
That state’s Agriculture Department said it is still working to find a lab that can handle all testing at a single location.
The agency is set to meet with the grower and the LSU Ag Center next week.
