Council grants investigators more time to look into Entergy paid actor claims

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -The New Orleans City Council will give investigators until November 2 to look into claims that Entergy used paid actors in its meetings.

Entergy said it hired a Public Affairs firm to help organize support for a new power plant in New Orleans East.

The company insists that it was the firm’s decision to hire a company called “Crowds on Demand," which paid actors to voice support for the plant project at public meetings.

The council will make the independent investigators' report public.
