NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Grab the umbrella and rain boots today, as we are expecting showers throughout the day. The rain will be mostly light and scattered with the lower chances north of Lake Pontchartrain. Temperatures won’t move much courtesy of the clouds and rain, so highs will top out around 70 degrees.
Wednesday will feature mainly cloud cover with a few late day patches of rain possible.
On Thursday, a strong area of low pressure will move across the area bringing rain and a few storms. Some of the storms will have gusty winds and locally heavy rain. This area of low pressure will be what is left of Hurricane Willa in the Pacific.
Drier and cooler weather arrives Friday and will last into the weekend.
