NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saints receiver Cameron Meredith is headed to injured reserve, and will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery. That’s according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Meredith caught only 9 passes, for 114 yards, and a touchdown this season.

The Saints signed wide receiver Dez Bryant on Wednesday to take Meredith’s spot on the roster.

Meredith missed the entire 2017 season with the Bears after tearing his ACL. Meredith had zero catches, and zero targets the past three games for the Black and Gold. New Orleans signed Meredith to a 2-year, $10 million deal this offseason.

Meredith is the second wide receiver on injured reserve right now for the Saints. Ted Ginn, Jr. also suffered a knee injury this season. Ginn can return to the Saints in week 15.
