NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The NBA named Anthony Davis the Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-18.
During that span, Davis helped the Pelicans to a 3-1 record. He finished the week averaging 34.3 points (second in the NBA), 14.0 rebounds (fourth in the NBA) and 2.0 blocks (tied for fifth in the NBA).
Davis helped lead the the Pelicans to a road win against the Raptors on Nov. 12, handing them their second loss of the year and their first at home. He finished that game with a season-high 20 rebounds.
He also led a 19-point comeback win against New York on Nov. 16, where he registered a season-high 43 points.
Davis finished the week with 40 points, eight rebounds and a career-tying eight assists in a win against the Nuggets, Nov. 17.
This is the fifth time Davis has earned Player of the Week honors and it is his first of the 2018-19 season.
Davis is averaging 27.5 points (fifth in the NBA), 12.7 rebounds (tied for sixth in the NBA) and 2.8 blocks (second in the NBA) this year.
