SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - UPDATE: All three children are found and are in police custody after being reported missing early Tuesday morning, according to The Shreveport Police Department.
Detectives say the children were dropped off by a sedan at their home on Desoto Street Tuesday night.
The children’s mother remains missing at this time, Detectives have issued a warrant for the arrest of LaShunda Miles,36, in connection with the disappearance of three children.
Miles is now wanted on one count of Cruelty to a Juvenile and two counts of Interference with Child Custody for her alleged role in the crime. She is believed to be in the Queensborough neighborhood.
Shreveport police are looking for a mother and her three children, according to a news release issued early Tuesday morning.
According to Christina Curtis, Public Information Officer for SPD, Miles, Sharriah Miles, 6, Tiara Miles, 7 and 10-year-old Rayven Miles were last seen on Monday, Jan. 7.
Curtis said officers tried to conduct a welfare check Monday, but they could not find the mother nor the children.
Just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, police released information asking for people to be on the lookout for all four. "The safety of the children is of concern with this matter,” the release stated.
