NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A third person has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into juvenile sex trafficking in the New Orleans area.
Kentrail Foster, 36, of New Orleans, was arrested in connection to the sex trafficking case, Louisiana State Police said Friday.
Foster was booked into the Orleans Justice Center for Trafficking of a Child for Sexual Purposes and Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. Elbert Riascos and Jovan Martin were arrested in December 2018.
Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit, along with members of the FBI New Orleans Child Exploitation Task Force, US Marshals Task Force, Louisiana State Police Troop N and the New Orleans Police Department arrested Riascos and Martin for Trafficking of a Child for Sexual Purposes. Law enforcement officials also rescued a 16-year-old that had previously been reported missing and was the victim of the sex trafficking.
The investigation started after a tipster stated that the 16-year-old was being held against her will, repeatedly raped, drugged and beaten.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects and rescue the girl on Dec. 15. Riascos and Martin were charged with rape, child pornography and other charges.
Additional arrests and charges may be forthcoming.
