NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The cold front that moved through Saturday morning triggered a few strong storms and even caused some damage near Franklington in Washington parish. Now that the rain has pushed east cold temperatures are taking over with very gusty winds as well. There is a wind advisory for areas south of Lake Pontchartrain through Sunday morning. The tailgate for the NFC Championship game will be chilly with temperatures in the 40s through the day. The metro area should manage to avoid a hard freeze, but temperatures will be close for areas north of the lake and away from the city for Monday morning.
