NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Former Destrehan Wildcat Ed Reed was selected for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Eight total make up the class of 2019, including four on the defensive side of the ball.
Reed won a Super Bowl with the Ravens in New Orleans after they beat the Niners. Reed also won state at Destrehan, and a national title with the Miami Hurricanes.
Reed was a 9-time Pro Bowler, and captured the 2004 NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.
Champ Bailey, Ty Law,Tony Gonzales, former LSU Tigers Kevin Mawae and Johnny Robinson, Pat Bowlen, and Gil Brandt make up the rest of the 2019 class.
