NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -Craig Roberston has been a dependable, steady player for the Saints for the last three seasons. When he arrived in 2016, Robertson finished that season with 114 tackles. In 2017, he started 12 games and finished with 77 tackles.
With the signing of DeMario Davis and the health of A.J. Klein and Alex Anzalone, Roberston played more of a special teams role in 2018. He led the team with over three hundred special teams snaps and made keys plays in that department like in their first meeting against the Rams when he stopped a fake field goal attempt short of the first down.
But as a free agent, Robertson’s future with the club is unclear. He is a well-respected player in the locker room and at the age of thirty, he won’t command a huge salary. The question will be: do the Saints go younger at the position?
