NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Coroner’s Office released the identity of the man killed in a French Quarter stabbing on Feb. 6.
Daniel Magrini, 52, was killed by sharp force injuries, according to the coroner.
An NOPD spokesman said at about 6:45 p.m., officers were called to the 600 block of Burgundy Street in response to a possible hostage situation.
When they arrived, the reporting person told them that an adult male relative was possibly barricaded inside the home. The barricaded man eventually surrendered to officers and was taken into custody.
Based on information he provided during questioning, officers searched the home and found an unresponsive male, who was pronounced deceased on the scene.
