LSU and Kentucky set for Top 20 clash Tuesday night

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - LSU’s two wins pushed them back up the AP Poll two spots to #19 in rankings released Monday meaning the Tigers’ clash at #5 Kentucky will be a top 20 matchup.

The Wildcats look to be the toughest test yet for Will Wade’s team, who are 2-2 against top 25 opponents this season. LSU has won just once in their last seven meetings against UK, an 85-67 upset in January of 2016.

In addition to moving up the polls, LSU has a strong hold in the RPI rankings, now sitting at #11. They’ll get a chance to further boost their postseason seeding with Tuesday’s game at #7 Kentucky and a February 23rd visit from #9 Tennessee.

Tip off is set for 6 PM in Kentucky’s legendary Rupp Arena.
