NOPD: Gunman robs workers laying concrete in Gentilly

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A gunman robbed two workers who were spreading concrete in the street in the Gentilly area.

A preliminary New Orleans police report said the robbery happened at the intersection of Western St. and Mirabeau Ave. on Tuesday at 10:54 a.m.

The perpetrator approached the victims, whose ages are 21 and 26, and demanded their vehicle keys. The victims complied.

The gunman got three sets of keys and entered a brown 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with Louisiana license plate #C703591. He escaped down Mirabeau Ave. and onto Mandeville St.

Police describe the accused robber as a black man with a dark complexion, thin build, short hair and in his mid-20s.
