Shot fired inside Washington Parish Dollar General store during robbery
The Dollar General store on Highway 25 in the Clifton community of Washington Parish was robbed.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A robbery suspect fired one shot inside a Washington Parish Dollar General store because he felt the cashier was taking too long to hand over the money.

The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office says on Feb 9, the Dollar General store on Highway 25 in the Clifton community of Washington Parish was robbed by a male who entered the business with a pistol drawn.

The robber appeared to be a male who had covered his face. He wore a long sleeve pullover shirt, possibly Adidas brand, which had a light colored stripe on the sleeves. In addition, he wore mis-matched gloves, one fluorescent yellow and the other black.

The suspect was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Store surveillance cameras captured images of the robber. Any person who may be able to identify him is asked to call the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detective division at (985) 661-2024.
