Warmer But Dry Valentines Day

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -Temperatures return to above-normal today, and this will last into the weekend. Highs will be well into the 70s with little to no rain.

Beyond the weekend, the forecast gets very tricky because we are sandwiched between a strong area of warm high pressure over Florida and a very cold area of low pressure over the Western United States. It’s basically a battle zone in between.

Next week a couple of cold fronts will attempt to move into the area, the first on Monday and the other around the middle of next week. Expect the potential for large temperature swings. The forecast for next week will likely change quite a bit over the next few days because of this “battle zone” pattern we’ll be stuck in.
