Ethics Board reconsidering campaign funds for child care decision

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -The Ethics Board will reconsider it’s decision that candidates for public office cannot use campaign funds for child care.

In November, Morgan Lamandre, an attorney running for the state house next year, was told she could be penalized for using campaign funds for child care.

She is appealing that ruling.

Governor John Bel Edwards sided with her saying child care is a reasonable expense associated with running for office.
