NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Joshua Jeffries’ father has lived a long life, but he still got the surprise of a lifetime.
Jeffries, a soldier in the U.S. Army, had been away from home in New Orleans for about six months.
Thursday, he decided to surprise his father, who was working in the Garden District for a painting and wallpapering service.
His father’s reaction was priceless during the impromptu reunion.
When Jeffries taps him on the shoulder, his father asks surprised, “Who the hell is that,” only to see his son Josh.
Hugging, happiness and love between a father and son ensues. The video already has more than 5,000 views on Instagram.
Jeffries says he owes a lot to his father.
“The man you see in this image is who I do everything for. Since I was sipping milk out of bottles and shitting diapers my father has been there every step of the way, as a single parent he instilled values in me to be a man. He has given me the toolbox to be successful in this difficult, cruel world. I thank him for everything,“ he said in an Instagram post.
