NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saints fans should be quite familiar with wide receiver Golden Tate. He’s no stranger to big plays against the black and gold.
Tate has played six regular season games against the Saints. His stats in those games: 40 receptions, 533 yards and five touchdowns. His fit with the Saints would be ideal; he excels out of the slot and has elite speed after the catch.
Tate turns 31 in August and spent time with Detroit and Philadelphia last season. He was making just north of $6 million a season in his last contract. That’s likely the range the Saints would be willing to pay.
If the price is right, it could turn one of the biggest Saints killers of all-time into a Saints playmaker.
