NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A cold front will move into the area on Wednesday. Rain and storms will be likely. A few storms could be strong to possible severe. At this time, the best chance is north of the lake but areas around New Orleans will need to monitor these storms as well. Some of the rain may be slow to move out and there could be some street flooding.
The front will stall and move back as a warm front on Thursday bringing near record heat later this week. Highs will reach to around 80 degrees or so into Saturday. There will be a chance for passing showers on Friday and Saturday. Based on current trends it does not look like wash out conditions for the parades Friday through Sunday. Stay tuned.
