NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A charter school in New Orleans said it will close two of its campuses Wednesday (April 17) out of an “abundance of caution” after a threat was made against some of its students.
Lafayette Academy Charter School said the Dunbar and Kerlerec Street sites will be closed.
The school said it is working closely with the NOPD and other law enforcement agencies to investigate “an alleged serious threat against some of our middle school students.”
The school said it will provide more details as they become available, and that parents, faculty and staff are being notified.
The school said it plans to re-open on Thursday, April 18.
