John Snell has worked in the TV news business in New Orleans for 25
years. During that time, he's reported on virtually every major story
in Southeastern Louisiana, including the 1984 World's Fair, the collapse
of the oil industry, the fall of Edwin Edwards, and the 2005 hurricanes
and their aftermath.
He has specialized in political and environmental reporting, especially
the vanishing Louisiana coastline.
John arrived in New Orleans in 1983 and "promptly fell in love with the
city."
"Locals don't have to be told how special New Orleans is among the great
American cities," he says. "In the aftermath of the storms, our work
has never been more meaningful, as we all try to restore this unique
place."
John has a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Southern
Illinois University
In his spare time, he enjoys bicycling and photography.
