Rob Ennis joined FOX 8 in June of 2007 as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter. Rob co-anchors “Saints Game Plan” on Friday nights during football season. He reports for the “Final Play” on Sunday nights.
Rob was awarded "Best Sportscast" by the Louisiana Associated Press in 2008. The New Orleans Press Club honored Rob with "Best Sports Feature" in 2009 for "It's Good To Be A Manning,” and in 2008 for “Remembering Ray.”
Prior to FOX 8, Rob worked as a Sports Anchor at KLFY-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana and WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. During his stay in Lafayette, Rob was honored with a Louisiana Associated Press Award for "Best Sportscast" and for "Best Sports Feature."
Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, Rob graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 2000. He received his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from LSU in 2003. Rob was a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars during his time at LSU. Rob also served as a Sports Anchor/Reporter for LSU’s Tiger Television.
Rob and his wife, Camille, have two beautiful children. Their son, Rece, was born in July 2008. They welcomed their baby girl, Mia, in February 2010.
