Val Bracy grew up mostly in Ann Arbor, Michigan but has always had ties to New Orleans. As a child she lived in the French Quarter with her parents while her father taught at Loyola’s Law School. Val had family in New Orleans and often came to visit for vacations and holidays.
Val graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1995. Her first television job was in Florence/Myrtle Beach, SC. She moved to New Orleans just in time for Mardi Gras in 1996.
Val’s three children are Alexis, Garren and Grace.
