New Orleans - Official Jazz Fest attendance numbers will be out later this week, but so far organizers say it looks like a post-Katrina record breaker.
If airport traffic is any indication they may be right.
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday flights out of Armstrong International are full.
"This has probably been our best Jazz Fest year since Katrina. And we really expect today to be one of our top 10 days since Katrina so it's going to be a record day for us," says airport spokesperson Michelle Wilcut.
Wilcut says the airport hasn't had any problems getting the large crowds out of town.
"We are so good at doing large events. This airport, the city, we survive on large events. TSA staffs up, the airlines all staff up so everybody really did a good job at being fully staffed and ready for the large crowds."
Last year's Jazz Fest attendance was between 375,000 and 400,000.
Jazz Fest 2010 is set for April 23rd through May 2nd.
