New Orleans - The Louisiana Homebuilders Association is waiting for answers, as officials with the Louisiana Recovery Authority head to Washington. LRA Chief Paul Rainwater is seeking approval of an action plan, on how to spend hundreds of millions of recovery dollars.

Part of that plan, includes the homebuilders association, mediating drywall problems in two homes, to determine an effective treatment, and how much it will cost.

The homebuilders association says there are a lot of products out there, and a lot of claims, but it says the Recovery Authority should determine what works best, before it starts handing out grants.

Right now, the LRA has $5 million, but it has not set up a timetable or a protocol for releasing it. Homebuilders chief Jon Luther says that money, will likely fall way short of what's needed.
