Phin Percy was born in 1960 and raised in New Orleans. His interest in photography led him to the US Navy where from 1987 to 1991 he served with distinction as a member of the elite Combat Camera Group Pacific.
During that time Phin worked on projects for the U.S. Secret Service, Joint Task Force 5 Drug Interdiction, San Diego Police A.B.L.E. Unit, JCS, The White House, and served directly under General H. Norman Schwarzkopf during Desert Shield as a member of the Joint Combat Camera Team, providing the media and the public with never before seen imagery of the buildup to war.
After working his way through the ranks, from WYFF, WSB, Fox News Channel, and KING5 in Seattle, Phin returned to New Orleans following Katrina and hasn’t left since. His camera and editing work focuses on rebuilding the area, and his client list includes CNN,
Discovery Channel, Northrop-Grumann, Boh Brothers, Broadway South and WWL TV.
This will be his third assignment to the Middle East.
