Registration for Obama's town hall meeting begins

New Orleans - There are new details on the president's upcoming visit to New Orleans.

President Barack Obama plans to visit students at Dr. King Charter School during his trip Thursday. Later that day, he'll hold a town hall meeting at UNO's lake front campus. The president wants to hear the public's thoughts on what challenges remain in the recovery effort. That town hall is open to the public.

Those interested in attending need to sign up online starting Monday at 10:00 a.m. and will continue for 24 hours at this website: www.whitehouse.gov/advance/NewOrleansTownHall10-15-09/

Due to limited space at the event the White House will only be able to fulfill a limited number of requests for tickets. Names will be randomly chosen from submissions to the above website.

On fox 8 news you all said that we would be able to apply online at 10:00 a.m. for President Obama Town Hall meeting, but there is not a form online for me to fill out. When will the form be available for the public to fill out.

I watched your 6am news you stated we the public can go on-line at 10am to apply for President Obama town hall meeting October 15, 2009,you have no form, it stated that you are having problems with your system. I then called the news station that was sent to the weather desk. Come on people help!

I am writing you again about the China Drywall. This time I'm trying to get some HELP with RENTAL ASSIST. I’ve made contact with Red Cross, House Authority, Union Support, and Perennial House Support and there's no one that can help me and my family. Mrs. Landrieu I know you and some of the other senator are working hard on helping me and other families, but Wright now want is need is house Assistance PLEASE!! PLEASE!! HELP!! I get my family out of this house that's hurting us and making us sick. I’ve already had surgey on my throat. My husband was laided off a year ago after 28 years on his job with Housing Authority of N.O. and has not been able to find work; I'm on disability so we need YOUR HELP!! I need to find somewhere else for me and my family to live and I cannot do it alone. I don't have the finance to rent without some assistance. PLEASE CALL OR RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!
