Rita M. from New Orleans asks:
"I heard you can follow Drew Brees and Reggie Bush on Twitter. Do other Saints players tweet, and what about the Vikings?"
ANSWER:
Twitter-Athletes.com says that 20 members of the
New Orleans Saints use Twitter -- more than any other NFL team listed. Reggie Bush has over 900,000 followers! The site indicates that only 11 members of the
Minnesota Vikings use Twitter, including wide receiver Sidney Rice, but Brett Farve evidently does not tweet.
Nicholas R. from Mandeville, La. asks:
"Is Google Gmail secure? There was something on the news about it being hacked -- or someone trying to hack it. Should I be worried?"
ANSWER: Google previously offered the
Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS) as optional security, but now it's the default. HTTPS is widely used on the Web to keep traffic from being intercepted, such as when you order something online with a credit card. Nevertheless, encrypting and decrypting data takes time, so Gmail secured by HTTPS will take longer to send and receive messages. If you use Gmail offline, HTTPS can also cause syncing problems, but a
workaround is available. Even if you choose the “Don’t always use https” setting, Gmail's logon page still encrypts your password, so you're always protected by HTTPS to some extent. No security mechanism is 100% effective, but the "always use HTTPS" option should be enough to keep your webmail safe from prying eyes.
