Metairie, LA - On the day Major League Baseball gave us opening day, the Zephyrs gave us their 2009 initial roster and there are plenty of familiar faces on this year's squad.

Some of the notable players include one of the better starting pitchers in Zephyrs history, Willie Collazo, a two time PCL All-star returns to the Z's rotation.

Another arm back in a Zephyrs uniform is last year's saves leader Nate Field and and in the field this year will be first baseman Gaby Sanchez, an MVP of the AA Southern Aeague in 2008.

For a complete list of the Zephyrs roster go to http://neworleans.zephyrs.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t=t_ros&cid=588&stn=true&sid=t588.
