Jay-Z's former protege Beanie Sigel has aligned himself with rap rival 50 Cent's G-Unit crew.

Sigel signed to Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records in 1998 and landed major appearances on a number of the rap superstar's songs.

But the deal turned sour earlier this year and led to Sigel leaving the label.

He has since launched a bitter attack on Jay-Z, accusing the hip-hop mogul of failing to properly support him and his group State Property.

Sigel recently told a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania radio DJ, "As far as the push that people coulda (sic) got that really could have did (sic) things, (Jay-Z) didn't do that. If you look at 50 Cent... (his crew G-Unit) got more money... than anybody in State Property. Because 50 made sure of that. 50 took his people on tour and paid them..."

Now Sigel is set to sign a deal with 50 Cent to release music on his G-Unit Records.

Confirming the move, 50 Cent simply says, "Beans is coming to G-Unit."
