New Orleans - Two separate shooting incidents have left 7 people injured on the heels of a huge sports weekend in the city.
Around 2am, two men became involved in a verbal altercation
with an unknown black male in the 700 block of Canal. The suspect produced a gun and fired, striking the victims. One suffered multiple gunshot wounds and the other sustained a shot to the stomach, according to a spokesperson with the New Orleans Police Department. The victims were transported to the hospital.
About an hour later, gunfire erupted again in the 400 block of Bourbon Street. According to police, an altercation broke out between several males. One suspect fired a gun, striking the victims. They were taken to the hospital, one victim is said to be in critical condition.
