New Orleans - Archbishop Aymond is heading to Miami for the Super Bowl at the invitation of Saints owner Tom Benson.
Aymond came close to missing out on the opportunity.
"I'll be Austin, TX on Saturday morning to do an ordination because they still don't have a bishop, so I was in a dilemma cause I didn't know how I was gonna get from Austin to Miami and the only thing I could get was a very late flight so when Mr. Benson found out he very graciously arranged for me to be picked up and then we will from there come here to pick up Archbishop Hannan and two of the sisters from the cathedral," said Aymond.
Aymond actually has a wager on the game.
"The Archbishop of Indianapolis has called me and said that if the Saints win he will send me some Indiana pork chops and if the Colts win then I owe him some gumbo."
The Archbishop says he's looking forward to his pork chops.
