Harvey - Louisiana State Police released the names of the Interstate Tragedy that claimed five young lives.

The victims are identified as 38-year old Mona Hines, 2-year old Ricky Hines Junior, 12-year old, Lachante Floyd, 14-year old Edward Barnes and 14-year old Ashley Hines.

Members of a Harvey family are grieving the loss of five family members who died in Baton Rouge car crash on I-10.

In a quiet Harvey neighborhood, members of the Hines family arrive hoping to get any news about their loved ones who died in a car crash.

The father, Clement Hines last saw his daughter Mona Hines at 8:30 Saturday morning.

Hines says "I said I can tell you be careful on the road she, said alright daddy I always try to be careful yeah that was my baby."

Mona loaded up the white minivan with her sister Stacey Hines heading on I-10 to Baton Rouge with 13-children to pack up and move back home to Harvey.

Pastor Nelson Dexter says "Mona was the type of person that would do anything for anybody, and children were here life, that's why it's not surprising why they had so many kids in the van."

But the family never made it to Baton Rouge.

The white minivan had a tire blowout, side swiped a box truck, flipped over and landed in the eastbound lane.

The Driver, 38-year-old Mona Hines died at the scene with four of the 13-children.

The survivors were all rushed to two Baton Rouge hospitals.

Family Pastor, Nelson Dexter quickly got word as did brother-in-law, John Cason and they headed for Baton Rouge.

John Cason says "It was a difficult drive and a long drive, I've gone to Baton Rouge a thousand times it seemed like it took me six hours to get there.  Right now there are ten members in the hospital, six of them are in I-C-U, four of them are stable two of them are critical, one she took a slight turn for the worse..some brain trauma."

Now a pastor helps the Hines family prepare funeral services and keep vigil for the survivors.

Pastor Nelson Dexter says, "The days that's coming ahead is going to be difficult for the family and this church."

If you would like to make donation to the Hines family you can go to any Regions Bank. Also, Pastor Nelson Dexter is looking for larger venue to hold the funeral services for the family. Contact Temple of Praise Ministries at 504-341-6010.
