JPSO investigating murder of a 35 year-old

Avondale - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department is investigating the murder of an Avondale man. The incident occured Saturday morning at 5:00 at 172 Travis Dr.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Secdrick Jones. According to a JPSO spokesperson, officers arrived on the scene and located Jones's body lying in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators located several spent 40 caliber shell casings near the victim's body.
