Jefferson asks for bond after sentencing

Alexandria, Va. - Former Congressman William Jefferson wants a judge to let him to walk free after Friday's sentencing.

Jefferson's attorneys have submitted a request to keep him free on bond while he appeals his corruption conviction.  In august, Jefferson was convicted of a bribery scheme.

FOX 8 will take you live to Washington, DC this week for Jefferson's corruption sentencing.  Look for Sabrina Wilson's live reports to begin tomorrow at 5 p.m.
