New Orleans - The New Orleans City Council has approved 1 million dollars for police overtime. NOPD Superintendent Warren Riley requested 2 million dollars to put officers on 12 hour shifts to help fight crime in the city this summer. A council committee approved a million dollars last week shifting the money from the CAO's annual budget. Riley said the 12 hour shifts last year helped cut violent crime by 17 percent.

Riley should be recalled immediately! The City Council should be recalled immediately! Why? For starters, the NOPD ain't done nothing to DESERVE overtime pay. You have to show progress to earn dividend$! But in N.O., all you need to do is tell white-folks Crime is out of control, we need more money to fight, and those scared (blanks) will give a monkey more money, just to feel safe! What a world!
