Lafourche - A Golden Meadow woman was arrested over the weekend after admitting to cops that she often let her 14 year-old son drive her to bars so she can drink.
A spokesman with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says
Sandy Bellanger is facing several charges. They include allowing an unlicensed minor to drive, and child desertion after her son was pulled over for driving erratically. This, while his two younger siblings were also in the car.
They say the 38 year-old arrived at the scene later with her boyfriend and admitted that her son often drives her to and from bars so she can drink.
But this time, she didn't want to leave with him.
Bellanger has been released on a $2,500 bond.
