The public can meet with members of the commission aboard the vessel Mississippi to voice concerns about flood protection and navigation along the river and its tributaries.
The meetings are set for:
- Aug. 16, 9 a.m., Memphis, Tenn.
- Aug. 17, 9 a.m., Lake Providence, La.
- Aug. 19, 9 a.m., Morgan City, La.
The meetings follow the river's historic spring floods and are held annually at a time of the year when the Mississippi's levels usually are at low points.
