Carnival Season becomes Black and Gold
Carnival Season becomes Black and Gold
New Orleans - Win or lose, the Saints are sure to be showered with appreciation by fans during a parade that will wind its way through the CBD, ending near the Morial Convention Center.

The NOPD released a map showing where the parade will roll. After a short trip down Poydras Ave., the parade will turn on Howard Ave., then on St. Charles to Canal St. where it will head away from the river before making a U-Turn and heading back toward the convention center, eventually ending at Mardi Gras World.

The parade will be held Tuesday, February 9 starting at 5 p.m.. Parade organizers wanted people to be able to finish with their work or school day.

This Saints victory parade is supposed to be for our whole city, and with the parade being at 5 O'Clock in the afternoon, many MANY people will not be able to attend due to the time. A lot of people do not get off of work until 5 P.M. This is a very generic time for people to get off, and to have the parade at that time is rather rude to the community, basically telling everyone that we do not care if the whole city can be there or not! People have to get their children from school/daycare, people that work in the city have to get OUT of the city to get their children, then to get down there with all of the commuting traffic is going to be miserable, and people on the Northshore/Luling/Destrehan/Hahnville.. will not be able to make it down there in time!. More than half of the Saints Fans will not be able to see the parade for the Team that has brought our community back together after a few devastating years and an amazing football season. A 7 P.M. start time would be perfect so that the whole city can be involved. I am not sure who it is that can change the time of the parade, but something needs to be done!!!!
