Teen found dead in Kenner

Kenner- A 17 year old is found dead slumped over in a car late Wednesday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Kenner police found 17-year old Louis Smoot inside a green Pontiac Grand Prix in the 2900 block of Kentucky Avenue.

Investigators say Smoot was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of right now police are ruling the incident as homicide until an autopsy is performed on Friday.
