John Snell has worked in the TV news business in New Orleans for 25 years. During that time, he's reported on virtually every major story in Southeastern Louisiana, including the 1984 World's Fair, the collapse of the oil industry, the fall of Edwin Edwards, and the 2005 hurricanes and their aftermath.
He has specialized in political and environmental reporting, especially the vanishing Louisiana coastline.
John arrived in New Orleans in 1983 and "promptly fell in love with the city."
"Locals don't have to be told how special New Orleans is among the great American cities," he says. "In the aftermath of the storms, our work has never been more meaningful, as we all try to restore this unique place."
John has a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University In his spare time, he enjoys bicycling and photography.
