Chris Rose is known for his unique take on the people and culture of New Orleans.
Rose started working in New Orleans for the Times-Picayune 25 years ago. He covered all types of local and national news, but really found his niche by giving readers a light-hearted look at life in New Orleans.
Rose gained national popularity following Hurricane Katrina as he chronicled the happiness and heartache of a city trying to recover, mentally and physically, from the nation's worst natural disaster.
Rose received a Pulitzer Prize nomination for his book 1 Dead in Attic, which took readers on a dark and revealing journey through the early days of Katrina recovery.
